Yesterday I did my first photo shoot! I was introduced to Iain MacIntosh (photographer) through a contact I made at Winning Scotland Foundation and as an active sports photographer and fan he offered me a studio shoot as he was interested in skeleton and getting some unusual shots! Now, I'm not really one for posing or make up but I got the whole experience - two looks (make up and outfits), white and dark backgrounds, helmet on, helmet off, smiley face, race face, sliding pose, sprinting pose....
And it was awesome! Iain's company is called ImacImages photography and he was so great to work with. As a complete beginner - I don't even take that many selfies and always look awkward in photos, he made me feel totally comfortable and gave great instruction. The studio SWG3 (in Glasgow) was gorgeous too; I loved the mirror, it had all the lights around it like in the movies! Another bonus was meeting Natalie Grace the make up artist (or MUA). She was so lovely and taught me all about contouring and tricks of the trade; she also lives in Stirling so will be local if I have any special occasions to get ready for! She did a natural look for the portraits and then really smoked up my eyes for the helmet shots - it was very dramatic but suited the shoot as it was all very intense 'race ready' type expressions. Perfect for resting bitch face; something I certainly have acquired over the years!
I can't wait for the finished results but for now here are some shots that I got from the shoot...

This is what contouring looks like pre blend! #stronglook |
Once Natalie had worked her magic! |
Look no. 1. Yes the racesuit was its usual challenging self to get on! Iain had to help me!! |
A massive thank you to Iain and Natalie for the shoot; it was a great experience. If you like what you see take a look at their websites!
